So you want to be able to connect your iPad to a projector screen to display your iPad to your students. There are different ways you can do this. Unlike the interactive whiteboard apps that only turn your iPad into a whiteboard, the tools below will enable you to share your iPad screen with the entire class. Here is how to do it :
1- Use VGA
Using a VGA cable will enable you to hook up your iPad just in the same way you connect your computer to a whiteboard. The only inconvenience about VGA is it does not offer much mobility and you need to keep your iPad in one place. Here are the cables you need for this :
2- Use Apple TV
Apple TV works wirelessly enabling you to take your iPad wherever you want in your classroom. All you need to do is connect your Apple TV to your projector using an HDMI cable then connect your iPad to Apple TV wirelessly. If your projector does not support HDMI then you need to get an adapter like Kanex ATVPRO AirPlay Mirroring for VGA Projector
3- Use AirServer or Reflector
This is a free application that will enable you to stream your iPad to your Mac/PC. For this to work perfectly, both your iPad and the computer it is connected to have to be connected to the same network.
