Samsung Galaxy S4, the most-awaited device of the year is coming with some impressive technologies. The smartphone will reportedly have the ability to scroll text by watching the user\’s eyeballs.
According to a report from The New York Times, an employee of Samsung has revealed the information on the condition of anonymity. The source quoted in the report said that the upcoming Galaxy S4 will have the ability to track your eyes as you reach the bottom of a page of text. The text will be automatically be scrolled as per your need so that you don\’t have to exercise your fingers.
The source did not comment whether we will be able to see the feature on the launch of Samsung Galaxy S4 scheduled to happen on 14 March, but we assume is the features exists in the device, the Korean smartphone maker will definitely flaunt it.
Samsung had filed for the US trademark for \’Samsung Eye Scroll\’ 5 February. The filing describes the feature as “Computer application software having a feature of sensing eye movements and scrolling displays of mobile devices, namely, mobile phones, smart phones and tablet computers according to eye movements; digital cameras; mobile telephones; smart phones; tablet computers.”
It is worth mentioning here that Samsung Galaxy S3 already comes with the Smart Stay feature, which lights up the handset\’s display when user is looking at it, and powers it down when the user is looking away. This feature helps in saving the battery of the device as well. Galaxy S3 helped Samsung gain a \’definite\’ edge over Apple. With \’Eye Scroll\’, one can see Samsung emerging as a winner against its Cupertino-based competitor.
